If a quartz watch stopped suddenly, the battery is the most common reason. If it still doesn't work after a new battery, or if hands are loose or the crown is broken, it needs a repair. We check it at the counter and tell you which one it is.

We repair most everyday brands, including Titan, Sonata, Fastrack, Casio, Timex, Maxima and HMT. For some luxury watches, or watches that need original parts only the brand supplies, we may recommend the brand's authorised service centre.

Small jobs are often done the same day. Repairs that need a part can take longer, and we'll give you a realistic time when you drop the watch off.

Yes. We check the watch first, explain the problem and give you the price. Work only starts after you agree.

Usually just a few minutes. Most customers wait at the shop while we change it.

A typical quartz watch battery lasts about 1.5 to 3 years, depending on the watch and its features. Watches with lights, alarms or chronographs can use batteries faster.

Yes. Leaving a dead battery inside for a long time can leak and damage the movement. Get it replaced soon after the watch stops.

Yes. We check the gasket and close the back carefully. Water resistance can't be fully guaranteed after any opening, so avoid swimming with an older watch.

Yes. We remove links to fit your wrist and keep the removed links for you in case you need them later.

The strap width is the gap between the lugs, measured in millimetres (commonly 16, 18, 20 or 22 mm). Bring the watch and we'll measure it and fit the right size.

We stock common widths and styles. For unusual or brand-specific straps, call us first so we can check what's available.

It's better not to. Dust and moisture can get in through the crack and damage the dial or movement. Get the glass replaced as soon as you can.

Often, yes, when a matching glass is in stock. Uncommon sizes or shapes may take a little longer.

Have a quartz watch checked whenever you change the battery. Mechanical and automatic watches generally benefit from a full service every few years.

Bring it in and we'll check it. Many older watches can be brought back to life. If yours needs specialist work, we'll tell you honestly.

We mainly repair quartz wall, table and alarm clocks. For very old mechanical or key-wound clocks, call us first and we'll tell you whether we can help.

Yes, usually. The quartz movement (machine) has probably worn out. We can replace it and keep your clock's original dial and frame.

Yes, please bring the whole clock so we can match the movement and hands to its dial and frame.
